Where will I be able to see the fireworks from?
The fireworks will be launched from a private site on the side of Little Solsbury Hill. The fireworks will explode at a height of at least 50 m and the image below is taken at that height directly above the launch site. You can click on the image to zoom in. If you can see your house then you can see the fireworks. On the night we will fire one firework at 6.30 and one at 6.45 so you can adjust your viewing location.

Will the fireworks be loud?
We are sensitive to the needs of livestock and pet owners in the villages and have asked the fireworks company not to include the loud bang fireworks. They won’t be silent as it is impossible to explode a large firework without a bang but they will be high and as quiet as we can get them. If you have pets then we recommend you keep them indoors between 7.00 and 7.15 pm. Please note we will fire a single firework at 6.30 and 6.45 so people can see where best to view them from but we will do our best to make these quiet.
What happens if you do not reach the £3000 target?
Good news – we reached the £3,000 target thanks to the generosity of our Sponsors, supporters and residents.
If I cannot see it from my house what should I do?
It is important that we all follow government guidance on social distancing. These rules may change right up to the event day so please be aware of them for the evening and do not gather in locations. There are many pavements and areas that will see the fireworks so walking just a few hundred metres from your house should be enough. It is important that you do not view the fireworks from public footpaths as these are narrow and you will block them and please do not wander off the paths into farmer fields. Do not walk up Solsbury hill to watch them 1) because this will actually be one of the worst viewing places and 2) we need the side of the hill clear as our fall out zone.
How Long will the display last?
The display should be around 12 minutes long.
Will the display be cancelled if we have another lockdown?
If the fireworks company is not allowed to work due to government-enforced COVID restrictions we will have to reschedule. Apart from that we so no reason currently that would force the event to be cancelled due to COVID. After all it is designed to be viewed from your house – so perfect for lockdown rules should we be in that position (let’s hope not!)
Will the display be rescheduled if the weather is bad?
High winds or heavy rain would force us to be rescheduled. New dates and time will be posted on this page if this happens.
Can I gift Aid my donation?
Yes. Gift aid will add 25% more too!
